This year's Phonathons took place on January 30th, 2011 and February 3rd, 2011. They were both a great success, as the Big Red Marching Band raised money to support our continued operations. As usual, it was run by the Athletics Department, and managed by one of the Fundraising Chairs (Sheila Garcia). The members did an amazing job, calling alumni after alumni to support a band that has granted them much more than the gift of music. Let’s hope that next year’s Phonathons will be equally, if not more successful!

RECRUITMENT IS COMING! Welcome all incoming freshmen! You will probably see a lot of us outside of Registration when you get here later this month. Feel free to approach us and hang out - we love a good time, and we love new people. We will be outside of Barton Hall all day on Aug 20th.
INFORMAL AUDITIONS will be held Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd from noon - 4pm, so stop by the band room in Barton Hall (come in on the Statler side, and we're all the way to the right). Please, don't worry about your audition at all. It's just a way for us to meet you and if you have never even played before our section leaders can teach you an instrument of your choice!
FIRST NIGHT, our first rehearsal together with our new recruits, will be Aug 22rd at 7:30pm followed by much pizza and celebration. You absolutely don't want to miss this! Even if you can't make it to auditions, you are encouraged to join us on this fantastic night, and even if you can't make it to First Night, don't miss Band Camp!!! More details will be posted about that soon! In the meantime, contact our Publicity Chairs for more information.

2010 Phonathon!
This year’s band phonathon will be Sunday, January 31 and Thursday, February 4, from 7 to 9. It’s a great opportunity to hear what the bands are up to from current members (are they still singing about YOU?) and pledge what support you can. So put away those caller ID boxes, and answer your phones!
If you would like to donate to the Big Red Marching Band and know the specific amount that you would like to give, please email our Head Manager, Lauren Mangano. A pledge card and business reply envelope will then be mailed to you within 7 business days. To make a gift over the phone or online, please call 1-800-279-3099 or visit today!
